When Frank Ocean’s Blonde came out in 2016, I ate that shit up—taking bite after bite out of every track, with very little “Self Control”. While the album is about a break-up and all the feels that came with getting over that relationship, Blonde is more than that for me. This album has been blasted in the background on many late nights in my studio. It’s just too easy to get lost in the melancholic sounds—it’s turned into a form of meditation. There may not be a literal influence of Frank Ocean’s music in our work, but I’m sure that it’s there. Hi Frank.
